Terms and Conditions

The terms that govern your use of this website, our video production services, and any software we sell — including KlikSync and future tools.

terms-scope

Scope and Acceptance

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of video-editor.com, our video production and post-production services, and any software we sell or distribute — including KlikSync and any future tools.

By using this website, commissioning work from us, or purchasing our software, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site, the services, or the software.

Some sections below apply to everyone, some apply only to clients of our production services, and some apply only to software customers. Each section states who it covers.

Questions about these terms? Write to us at office@video-editor.com and we will answer.
terms-services

What We Provide

We offer two distinct things, and the terms differ between them.

Video production and post-production services

Custom work produced to your brief: editing, colour grading, audio editing and mixing, sound design, motion graphics, animation, and production where agreed. Scope, timeline, deliverables and price are agreed per project before work begins.

Software

Desktop applications and plugins sold as one-time purchases, currently KlikSync. Software is licensed, not sold outright — see the licensing section below.

Website and free content

Our blog, documentation, and any free resources are provided for information only. We make no guarantee that the information is complete or applies to your particular setup.

terms-client

Client Responsibilities

This section applies to clients of our production and post-production services.

What you provide

  • All footage, audio, scripts, brand assets and other materials needed for the project, delivered in reasonable time.
  • A clear brief. Vague direction leads to more revision rounds, which may fall outside the agreed scope.
  • Timely review and approval of each delivery.

Rights to the material you send us

You confirm that you hold all necessary rights, licences and permissions for everything you send us — footage, music, fonts, logos, stock assets and any likeness or performance appearing in the material. We rely on that confirmation and cannot verify it ourselves.

If a third party makes a claim over material you supplied, that claim is your responsibility, not ours.

Content we will not work on

We reserve the right to decline or stop work on material that is unlawful, infringing, or that we consider harmful. Where we decline before starting, any payment made is refunded in full.

terms-payment

Payment

Services

  • Payment terms, including any deposit, are agreed in the project agreement before work starts.
  • We may withhold final delivery until payment is received in full.
  • Quoted prices apply to the agreed scope. Work added later is quoted separately.

Software

  • Software is sold at the price shown at checkout, as a one-time purchase unless stated otherwise.
  • Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as merchant of record. Their terms apply to the transaction itself in addition to ours.
  • Prices are listed in USD. We are not responsible for currency conversion or fees charged by your bank or card issuer.

Price changes

We may change our published prices at any time. Changes never affect a project already agreed or a purchase already completed.

terms-ownership

Ownership and Rights

This section applies to production and post-production services.

What you own

On full payment, the finished deliverables are yours to use as you see fit, subject to the licence terms of any third-party material used in them — stock footage, music, fonts and similar.

Your raw footage and supplied assets remain yours throughout. We never claim ownership of them.

Project files

Editable project files are not included by default. If you want them, say so at briefing stage and we will prepare and hand them over as part of the agreed scope.

Our portfolio

We may show finished work in our portfolio, on social media and in marketing material. If your project is confidential or under embargo, tell us in writing and we will keep it out.

The website itself

Everything on video-editor.com — text, design, logos, illustrations, blog content and documentation — belongs to us. Reproducing it elsewhere without written permission is not allowed.

terms-licence

Software Licence

This section applies to our software products.

When you buy or subscribe to our software, you receive a licence to use it. You do not acquire ownership of the software itself.

Licence models

Different products are sold under different terms. Some are one-time purchases with a permanent licence, others are sold as a subscription that runs for as long as you keep paying. The model, the price and what is included are stated on each product's own page and in its documentation.

Where those product-specific terms differ from this section, the product-specific terms apply.

What every licence allows

  • Installing the software on computers you personally own or operate.
  • Using it for personal and commercial work, with no restriction on what you produce with it.

What no licence allows

  • Selling, sublicensing, renting, leasing or transferring your licence.
  • Sharing licence keys or account credentials.
  • Redistributing the software or its installer.
  • Reverse engineering, decompiling or attempting to extract the source code.
  • Using it for any unlawful purpose.

Updates and availability

Whether updates are included, and for how long, depends on the product and its licence model. This is stated in each product's documentation.

We intend to keep maintaining and improving what we sell, but we reserve the right to stop development of any product at any time. For one-time purchases, ending development does not entitle you to a refund outside the normal refund window. For subscriptions, you may cancel at any time and the licence runs until the end of the paid period.

Ending a licence

Your licence ends if you breach the terms above — for example by redistributing the software. In that case you must stop using it and remove it from your machines.

terms-delivery

Delivery, Revisions and Refunds

Services

  • Each package includes the number of revision rounds stated in the project agreement. Additional rounds, or changes outside the agreed brief, are quoted separately.
  • If a delivery does not match the agreed specification, we correct it at no charge.
  • Delivery format follows the project agreement. We flag delays as soon as we know about them.

Software

Software is provided as it is at the time of purchase. Published system requirements and supported formats are part of the specification — check them before buying.

Refunds

Refund terms differ between services and software, and each has its own policy inside this documentation. In short: services are custom work and are refundable only in defined circumstances; software carries a 7-day window for genuine faults.

terms-liability

Warranties and Liability

Everything we produce and sell is provided without warranty of any kind beyond what is stated in these terms and in the project agreement.

Software is provided as is. We do not warrant that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with every system configuration or footage format, and we do not guarantee specific results — output depends on how your material is prepared.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from your use of our website, services or software. This includes lost revenue, lost business, lost data and missed deadlines.

Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the project or licence the claim relates to.

We are not responsible for the content of material supplied by clients, nor for how finished work is used after delivery.

terms-confidentiality

Confidentiality

We treat client materials and project information as confidential and do not share them outside what is needed to complete the work.

Where a project requires it, we are happy to sign a separate non-disclosure agreement.

Please do not send us material containing confidential information you do not intend to share with us. We handle what we receive carefully, but we cannot protect what we did not know was sensitive.

How we handle personal data is covered separately in the Privacy Policy.

terms-termination

Termination and Changes

Ending a project

Either side may end a project in writing. You remain responsible for payment covering work completed up to that point. Cancellation and refund detail is in the refund policy for the relevant service.

Ending a software licence

Your licence ends if you breach the licence terms above — for example by redistributing the software. In that case you must stop using it and remove it from your machines.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The current version is always the one published here, with the date shown below. Continuing to use the site, services or software after a change means you accept the updated terms.
